The McMichael Canadian Art Collection, nestled in 100 acres of stunning woodland, is renowned for showcasing 20th-century Canadian art. The gallery features works by Group of Seven, First Nations, Inuit and contemporary Canadian artists as well as special exhibitions. The City Playhouse

The City itself hosts several large events throughout the year, starting with Winterfest. Communities in Bloom have created a unique sense of civic pride in the residents of Vaughan. Curb Appeal is a residential beautification program with thousands of homeowners competing for an annual Curb Appeal Award. The Schools in Bloom program operates in over 50 schools and 3,000 students who work to make their schools look better. The City of Vaughan is honoured to have been chosen as the host of the 2009 Communities in Bloom National Symposium on Parks and Grounds & National and Provincial Awards Ceremonies.
